🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

This week we will learn to be little readers. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as reading favorite story books to your children, having a Pajama Day, dressing up like their favorite story book characters and giving a bath to their favorite plastic animals in the park.

📄 Materials for Special Activities

• Bring one shoe box.
• Bring pajamas and your child’s favorite book for Pajama day (see holiday and upcoming events section for dates).
• Bring favorite knights or princess doll for Character Doll Day (see holiday and upcoming events section for dates).
• Have your child wear the outfit of their favorite character of a story book for Princess and Knight Dress up Parade (see holiday and upcoming events section for dates).

🔆 Friendly Reminders

• Check your child’s cubby and make sure to take home on Fridays your child’s blanket for laundry and bring it back on Mondays.
• Bring extra diapers, wipes and diaper rash ointment/cream.
• Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag.
