🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

We are starting a new theme for the month of March called “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about Asia continent. We will talk about music, their people, their traditions and culture.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.

●      Children will touch different textures.  

●      Children will jump forward.

●      Children will participate in dramatic play.

●      Children will play with our sand box

🔆 Friendly Reminders

●      Wear shoe covers and wash your hands and your child hands when entering your child’s classroom.

●      Knock before entering the classroom to make sure there is no one behind the door

●      Wash your hands and your child’s hands once you enter the classroom.

●      Always make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby and label it with your child’s name

●      Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name.

●      Bring your child’s bottles labeled with your child’s name and date.

●      Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher and make sure to add last change of diaper and time of your child’s last meal.

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

This week we will continue with our theme called “Green Earth”. We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills such as:

●      Children will paint paper plates with blue and green colors.

●      Children will experiment with water and will mix it with green color.

●      Children will be playing in the kitchen and pretend to prepare a snack.

●      Children will try to walk with a ball between our legs.

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

We will continue with our theme called “Green Earth”. We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Children will learn through experiences so they can use their creativity and imagination. For Valentine’s Day, we will have a small celebration!

●      Children will explore the treasure box.

●      Children will play with puzzles.

●      Children will roll on the carpet.

●      Children will tear paper.

●      Children will walk over a taped road on the floor.

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

We will continue with our theme called “Green Earth”. This week we will learn about dinosaurs, the sun, moon and the stars as well as atmospheric phenomena such as snow and rainbow.

We have scheduled exciting and fun learning activities in regards to this theme that keep strengthening motor, cognitive/sensorial and language skills.  Children will learn through experiences so they can use their creativity and imagination.

·         Children will remove and put objects into a container.

·         Children will run in circle in the park.

·         Children will touch and tight sponges using their hands.

·         Children will explore how we water the plants.
