Week: From 04/02/2018 to 04/06/2018

What we are learning?
Dear Parents,

We hope you all have a wonderful week. This month we are starting a new topic “I love the plants”. This topic will allow children to get knowledge of their natural environment. Children will be getting familiar with plants and flowers and discover the green world and understand the significance of their existence. Plants can give us fruits, vegetables and fibers.

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme, so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.  Some activities children will enjoy are as follows:
  • Fit connectors.

  • Play with a parachute.

  • Roll balls and crawl with them.

  • Play with sensory bottles and roll them around the classroom.

  • International Fiesta on Thursday, April 5th, 2018.  

  • Young Child Week from Monday, April 16th to Friday, April 20th, 2018.

  • Earth Day on Friday April 20th, 2018.

  • Field Trip Day during the week of Monday, April 23rd to Friday, April 27th, 2018.

  • National Tree Day on Friday. April 27th, 2018.


Year-Round Activities

Student of the Week

Please make sure to sign up your child for this wonderful activity!

As you know, every week a child is given a set week that he/she are the student of the week. On Monday of their week the student of the week should bring a poster and a book created with family pictures, favorite books, sports/hobbies, animals or anything they are interested in. Also, on their week parents and the student of the week may pick a day to present the poster and the book to the class. The student of the week may also bring favorite toys and books to school, so they can share with classmates.

Friendly Reminders


  • Wash your hands and your child hands when entering your child’s classroom.

  • Always store pacifiers in their packages.

  • Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.

  • Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested and if needed.

  • Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has TWO extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

  • Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.

  • Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.

  • Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a Tote bag.

  • Morning snack time is at 8:45 am every day till 9:10 am.

  • Label all bottles and food or lunch box that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and place in the kitchen. If any of these items require to be refrigerated, please put it inside the refrigerator.

  • Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule.

  • Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

Tan Tan Music Time

Blog Theme: Tan Tan Music Time

Week: From 03/26/2018 to 03/30/2018

What we are learning?
Dear Parents,

We hope you all have a wonderful week. We will continue with our favorite theme “Tan Tan Music Time” and explore music all over the world. This week, children will learn and discover music and dances from Africa.

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme, so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.  Some activities children will enjoy are as follows:
  • Mimic gestures.

  • Observe our family home game.

  • Stack glasses and then knock them down using a ball.  

  • Play with puppets.

  • Sing the song “The cow Lola”.

  • Friday, March 30: Good Friday – School is closed.

  • Thursday, April 5th:  International Festival

Tan Tan Music Time

What we are learning?
Dear Parents,

We hope you all have a wonderful week. We will continue with our favorite theme “Tan Tan Music Time” and explore music all over the world. This week, children will learn and discover music from Europe. We will also be learning about the traditional costumes.

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme, so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.  Some activities children will enjoy are as follows:
  • Observe flashcards of objects related to this theme.

  • Play with play dough and create different shapes and figures.

  • Make facial expressions and laugh.  

  • Glue decorative paper to the Eiffel Tower.  

  • Help teachers to prepare a delicious pizza.

  • Review colors and shapes and learn new vocabulary.
