          What we are learning?

Dear Parents,
 We hope you are having a beautiful week. This month our theme is “The Plants”. This coming week we will learn everything about the parts of the plant and the flowers and how to take care of them.
 We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Children will explore and discover all about the wonderful world of plants. Children will be able to differentiate all textures and smells from flowers.

·         Easter Celebration (Easter Egg Hunt) on April 13^th, 2017.

·         Coffee Talk on April 13^th, 2017.

·         School is closed on Good Friday, April 14^th, 2017.

·         International Fiesta on April 19^th, 2017.

·         Week of the Young Child from April 23^rd to 29^th, 2017.

                    Dress Code

·         Girls should wear their dresses they have ordered online and boys should wear khaki shorts and red shirts (bottom down or polo style) for our International Fiesta. A fee of $5 per girl is needed to get the hair headband for the party. 

            Friendly Reminders

·         Wash your hands and your child hands when entering your child’s classroom.

·         Always store pacifiers in their packages.

·         Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.

·         Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has TWO extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

·         Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.

·         Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.

·         Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested and if needed.

·         Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a Ziploc bag.

·         Morning snack time is at 8:45 am every day till 9:10 am.

·         Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared.

·         Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule.

·         Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

Weekly Featured Theme: Getting to know America II

Week: March 27^th to March 31^st, 2017

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

We continue with our theme for the month of March called “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about America. We will talk more about the Latin American countries where the teachers come from. We will talk about the languages that are spoken in the countries, music, their flag, their people, their traditions, culture and interesting places as well as their traditional food.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. This week the activities are oriented to the exploration and discovery of a new wonderful culture by participating in fun live experiences.

●      Children will hug their classmates.

●      Children will run in circles in the backyard.

●      Children will explore the family house.

●      Children will follow the color lines.

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

We continue with our theme for the month of March called “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about America (USA, USA flag, US President, etc.) and Latin America. We will talk about music, their people, their traditions, culture and interesting places the languages that are spoken in all these countries.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. This week the activities are oriented to the exploration and discovery of a new wonderful culture by participating in fun live experiences.

●      Children will play with the treasure box.  

●      Children will climb wheels.

●      Children will play with sensory balls.   

●      Children will play with puzzles.

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Mariquitas Parents,

We continue with our theme for the month of March called “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about Africa. We will talk about music, their people, their traditions and culture.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.

●      Children will play with toys and they will move them up and down and to the sides.  

●      Children will play as magicians to make objects appear and disappear.

●      Children will discover new toys from the surprise box.   

●      Children will look at pictures from different people around the world.
