What we are learning?
Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. As of Monday, October 30th, 2017 we will start with a new theme called “My Community and Me” and it will continue for the next 4 weeks. Next week children will learn everything about our community helpers and their roles in our community. They will also be exploring the community we are living through songs, games and other activities.

We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences.  Each one of these activities will help to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.

  • Children will play bowling.  

  • Children will play with the parachute.

  • Children will look at flashcards of community helpers.

  • Children will play with the surprise box.

Year-Round Activities

Student of the Week

Please make sure to sign up your child for this wonderful activity!

As you know, every week a child is given a set week that he/she are the student of the week. On Monday of their week the student of the week should bring a poster and a book created with family pictures, favorite books, sports/hobbies, animals or anything they are interested in. Also, on their week parents and the student of the week may pick a day to present the poster and the book to the class. The student of the week may also bring favorite toys and books to school so they can share with classmates.

Sign up today! Sign-up sheets are available at the entrance of the classroom.

Friendly Reminders


  • Wash your hands and your child hands when entering your child’s classroom.

  • Always store pacifiers in their packages.

  • Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.

  • Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has TWO extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

  • Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.

  • Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.

  • Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested and if needed.

  • Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a Tote bag.

  • Morning snack time is at 8:45 am every day till 9:10 am.

  • Label all bottles and food or lunch box that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and place in the kitchen. If any of these items require to be refrigerated, please put it inside the refrigerator.

  • Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule.

  • Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

What we are learning?
Dear Parents,


We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week we continue learning about family. The family is the first school of social virtues. In addition, the union, affection, understanding and support allow each one of the members to live and grow in a healthy environment. Through songs, games and other activities children will explore about this exciting theme.

We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences.  Each one of these activities will help to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.

  • Children will look at family pictures and identify family members.  

  • Children will play and roll balls.    

  • Children will look at water of different colors.

  • Children will create art using the stamping technique.

What we are learning?
Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. The first people a child knows is their family. Also the union, experience of affection, understanding and help motivates the child to grow in a healthy environment and to become a unique person. Therefore, this week we are going to learn about a new theme called “My family”. Through songs, games and other activities children will learn how everything related to family.

We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences and that help kids explore their emotions in lots of different ways. Children will experience being happy, sad, upset, scared, etc.  Each one of these activities will help to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills.

  • Children will look at family pictures and identify family members from the pictures we have exhibited in the “Casita del Hongo”.

  • Children will create a craft related to this fall season.   

  • Children will explore papers of different colors.

  • Children will work with flashcards related to our family theme.
