馃敔 What are we learning?


Dear Mariquitas Parents,


This week we will learn about the parts of our body. We have scheduled exciting learning activities related to this theme that will allow us also to continue strengthening fine and gross motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills. Children will receive massages as well.  Children will play with sand and sensory balls. We will do puzzles and we will enjoy a puppet show while recreating short stories.

  • Take the blanket home and bring one clean on Monday.
  • Wear shoe covers and wash your hands and your child hands when entering your child’s classroom.
  • Knock before entering the classroom to make sure there is no one behind the door
  • Wash your hands and your child’s hands once you enter the classroom.
  • Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.
  • Label all your child’s clothing and items.
  • Always make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.
  • Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name.
  • Bring your child’s bottles labeled with your child’s name and date.
  • Check your child’s journal and make sure to add last change of diaper and time of your child’s last meal.

Dear Mariquitas Parents,


This week we will continue introducing the children to the school, the staff and school activities. We have scheduled exciting learning activities related to this theme that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills such as:


  • Children will play with sensory bottles.
  • Children will be introduced to tempera and they will learn how to make different shape figures in paper.
  • Children will experiment to feel different textures.
  • Children will be putting coins into a container.

It's that time of year again “Back To Pre-School”!   • Playing bowling.
  • Exploring different toys located in the classroom.

Dear Mariquitas Parents,


The last week of Summer Camp is finally here and we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity  to teach and take care of your little children. We feel special and value our work and we are glad that the children have experienced new learning adventures with hands-on play during the summer. This week we will learn to be Little Clowns and Magicians. We will discuss about the animals and the magicians in the circus and we have also scheduled exciting learning activities related to this theme that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills such as pretending to be little magicians, and creating little clowns with colored paper.

  • Bring any stuffed circus animal on Monday.

  • Check your child’s cubby and make sure to bring extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather as well as extra diapers, wipes and diaper rash ointment/cream.
  • Take the blanket home and bring one clean on Monday.
  • Sunscreen is important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn. Yet applying sunscreen to your child requires planning. If sunscreen must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and label the sunscreen bottle with your child's name.
